The FUSE Cup team up with Cyber Safety Project

It's a perfect match! Cyber Safety Project x The FUSE Cup team up to bolster cyber safety and digital wellbeing content for students.

New research from Oxford University has found that time spent playing games is positively associated with wellbeing. This is not surprising when considering that the top 5 reasons why people game are to have fun, de-stress, stay challenged, pass time and keep their minds active. There are also many educational benefits to gaming including promoting critical and creative thinking, problem solving and collaborations skills.

Today, more people today play online games than watch TV. With the rise of the metaverse and virtual communities there has never been a more important time to engage with children to discuss inclusive, healthy and safe game play.

Cyber Safety Project educate students, teachers and parents across Australia. They create cyber safe communities by empowering every young Australian to self manage their digital safety and wellbeing through proactive education.

We are thrilled to be working with The Cyber Safety Project who will provide all participating educators with post competition learning materials. These activities will have students tuning into strategies gaming platforms use to gain and capture our attention, was to manage cyberbullying and promote help seeking strategies.
