The FUSE Cup – Terms & Conditions of Registration

The FUSE Cup works hard to ensure that we provide the best possible esports experiences for schools and students.

As the tournament operator, FUSE is responsible for the design, delivery and management of competitions across a range of formats, including in-person, hybrid and online environments.

We have updated our reminder process so that schools are given notice of competitions at various time periods ahead of any upcoming event. Several reminders are sent before any live competition is scheduled to occur. It is the responsibility of schools to ensure they are receiving correspondence from The FUSE Cup and action accordingly. You may need to check your spam folder and pass on the information to your staff members.

Schools who do not RSVP at least 14 days prior to a scheduled competition risk their teams not being included in the official match schedule.

We understand that there are times when schools cannot attend a scheduled event. When this happens, we require at least 14 days’ notice from the scheduled event. We will work with you to offer an alternative solution for this cancellation.

Cancellations will not be possible with less than 14 days’ notice to the scheduled event, and partial registration for the missed event will be forfeited.

All cancellation requests must be communicated to hello@thefusecup.com.au or kristen@thefusecup.com.au within the specified time frame above to be accepted.

Failure to RSVP to an event is not a means of cancellation.

Event Disruption / Force Majeure

The FUSE Cup operates as a national tournament provider and may be required to adapt competitions in response to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to government restrictions, public health orders, school directives, natural disasters, venue unavailability, or other unforeseen events (“Event Disruption”).

In such circumstances, FUSE reserves the right to modify, postpone, reschedule, or deliver competitions in an alternative format (including online or hybrid delivery) to ensure continuity of participation wherever reasonably possible.

Where an Event Disruption occurs, FUSE will work proactively with schools to provide a suitable alternative, which may include:

  • Participation in an alternative competition format

  • Transfer of registration to a rescheduled event

  • Partial credit toward a future FUSE competition or program minus the administration cost for FUSE tournament coordination

To the extent permitted by law, registration fees are not automatically refundable in these circumstances where FUSE is able to deliver a reasonable alternative or substitute service.

Nothing in this clause excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Thank you for your understanding.

The FUSE Cup Team
